Hello casajr; Here is some information on the different specs of the 1PH7 and 1PH8 motors; more information is available through the Siemens Simotics M webpage: https://www.automation.siemens.com/mcms/mc/en/motors/motion-control-motors/simotics-m-main-motors/Pages/asynchronous-motors.aspx 1PH7 Main Motors Compact induction motors with forced ventilation and solid shaft 1PH7 Servomotors The 1PH7 motors are induction motors with compact dimensions. The motors have a high power density at low construction volume. The 1PH7 motors are available in a broad power, speed and option range. The motors have excellent smooth-running and vibration properties and a high resistance to transverse forces. · Require very little space · High resistance to transverse forces · Low maintenance costs
SIMOTICS M-1PH8 Main Motors The new generation for main drives 1PH8 motors have been especially designed for use as main drives in production machines and machine tools. These motors are available as asynchronous and synchronous versions. Based on a flexible modular kit system, the suitable 1PH8 motor can be found for nearly all drive tasks. · Machine tools · Paper and printing machines, Coiler and winder drives · Hoisting gear and crane systems · Wood, glass, ceramics processing and stone working machines · Test stands · Presses · Plastic machines · Textile machines · Foil machines, fleece machines, wire-drawing and wire stranding machines · Extruders, calenders and rubber spray systems – overview of the product portfolio The asynchronous version comprises the shaft heights 80 to 355.
Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
