PISCEAN 2010 Diamond Expert Joined: 4/23/2010 Last visit: 11/23/2024 Posts: 8092 Rating: (883)	Hello Experts, VTL machine is equipped with DC motor of 60 Kw, 380 V, 178 A, 650..1950 RPM Field DC voltage 110 Volt, 10Amp with 6RA22 DC drive. The drive is in working condition from last 8 years without any problem. Now a days we are facing problem of drive triping of F 26. In the manual F26 fault significance stated is as "Armature current cannot during torque reversal" EMF is too high. Remedy without field weakning : reduce field current (P76) with field weakening : reduce P 77 & excute field characteristic test¹⁾Tried out the remedy but of no use. The problem occurs intermittently. Why this happens & what may be the problem? Can any one help me.

twhgarnett Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Dear, Have you check the condition of the thyristors both for armature and field, Gate-Cathode should be around 10ohms, Anode-Cathode should be more than 100k ohm.

Hi, I have checked the thyristors with multimeter & values found OK. Also set E39=2, so that at each start time thyristors are checked. But none of the start time we faced F26 problem. It gets displayed only in motor running condition & occurs intermittently. Also I have checked motor armature & fieldwith megger. The readings are >500 MOhm at 500 VDC. So what is wrong?

Anakin_2009 Advanced Member Joined: 6/13/2009 Last visit: 6/15/2025 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	do thyristor diagnoses by procedure given in manual. thyristor diagnoses can be activated by parameter given in manual. then give start command to drive . drive will start diagnoses automatically. if everything is ok then motor will start rotating on given setpoint. if there is a problem then faultF061 willbe apperared and its value r949 will show exact location of Problem whether its Thyristor related or pulse firing circuit related if all thysitors are OK then it may be a problem in pulse firing circuit also. also take the Reaisitance of Armature and Field and also its Magger Value.

As I know, 6RA22 drive does not have r949 parameter.

Hi Anakin_2009, When E39=2, it means drive checks the thyristor at every start command I.e. what you have mentioned. At that time drive doesn’t trip. Mr. KSN is right, in 6RA22 r949 isn’t available.

Yes, it has not r949 but Fault No it self gives a pin point information of status of Thyristors and its related problems. please find Thyristor diagnoses Procedure attached. Anyway do you have the PCB drawings or link of these control cards used in 6RA22 drive like A1, A2, A5 card. If yes, could you please send it to me.
