Hello experts, I am currently trying to downgrade the firmware of a 1214C DC/DC/DC (6ES7 214-1AG40-0XB0) CPU from 4.2.0 to 4.1.3, but when I try doing it through the TIA Portal, I receive the message "The firmware file was not accepted by the module." Would it be possible to do the downgrade using a memory card, maybe? Many thanks, |

PLEASE do not try to downgrade! If the PLC came preloaded (out of the box) with FW4.2, it will not downgrade to an earlier version. That PLC is of hardware version "FS:05". Earlier versions of the CPU will not have this issue. So... In TIA you define the PLC as FW4.1. The software will complain that the FW loaded in the PLC and that in the PLC is not the same. You may ignore this warning and continue on. This what I do since we have not bought TIA14 yet. If the warning is a problem for you - then you will have to get TIA14.. now at Update 2. |
