Seems that on the eMMc some IndOS or already configured Example Image is installed. Industrial OS: Does not have a default password, it needs to be set during first commissioning. Example Image: Someone already changed the password And with saying it boots from the eMMc, your SD card with Example Image is not considered. There is no way to find out a changed password, you would need to contact the person who changed it.. If this is not possible, the eMMc is the first boot device where you don't know the password, you need a UART cable to change the boot order. By the way: Which FS does your IOT2050 have and which firmware is it running? Best regards!

I asked my PM, if he can get the password. In the meanwhile I tried to change the boot order with the UART connection. I can see the boot process in the putty, but when it says "Press any key to innterrupt boot", I pressed different letter keys but the boot coninued. Is there a special key to be pressed? Out IT sayd, it we have no other option, we colud remove the eMMC. I did not open the device completelx yet. Is the eMMC mounted in a socket, where I call pull it out? The IOT2050 has the type IP6ES7 647-08BA00-1YA2, sV-M8B72965 and the FS 0108.2020. Thanks and regards

I always use space, but it doesn't matter which key you press. As far as I know the eMMc is soldered to the circuit board, so it would be quite of an effort to remove it. And so far, it was possible to change the boot order within the u-boot with every device ;) Best regards!

But when I press space ore any other key I tried when it says: "Press any key to chnage boot order", it just continues to boot. I also got an email, that the root password is not known anymore. Is there any possiblity of a reset to factory settings? Thanks and regards

I made a screenshot myself, but in this case I could not hit a key in time. When I pressed keys, the boot process contiuned so fast, that the lines were already out of the buffer of the putty, before I could do the screenshot. I tried also chapter 3.3.4 of SIMATIC_IOT2050_Setting_up_V1.2.pdf, to skip booting from eMMC. But when I hold the User button, the STAT LED never went orange. I follow step by step SIMATIC_IOT2050_Setting_up_V1.2.1.pdf gide and I used IOT2050_Example_Image_V1.1.1 . When i put the sd into the iot2050 and start the device i see the stat led red. Could you suggest something? Any suggestion or alternative? Thanks
