So, I have produced this General Description document for the Modbus Protocol. This is a generic guide to the modbus protocol and is not intended as a replacement for the specific Modbus driver manuals supplied from IIA. Q. Is there a way to force modbus to be deterministic? A.Only if it is wrapped inside a deterministic protocol, and then only if your modbus packet creator is 100% error-free.

The standard IIA driver does not support function code 23. It only supports function codes 01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,11,12,15 & 16.
