You 'll receive err msg 900 if you try to blow an eprom without the usb prommer. To blow an eprom in the internal prommer you MUST use Step5 prefered V 7.23. Don't forget to activate the internal prommer in Step5. Good luck

While connection (READ, DIRECTORY) I get error " The EPROM driver registers an error. Error no. 900 USB prommer locked / not connected." I have: USB prommer 6ES7792-0A00-0XA0 SIMATIC S5 MEMORY 6ES5-375-OLA21 Could you help me. present earlier solves do not help.

It won't connect to another prommer. You 'll receive err msg 900 if you try to blow an eprom without the usb prommer. What's happening? S5eprom tries to talk to the usb-prommer and doesn't revceive any response. => TimeOut => Error 900 !!! Hence if you are using an usb-prommer and receive error 900 you ought to check your usb-prommer by e.g. using Step7 for example or by replacing it with a spare part. To blow an eprom in the internal prommer of a pg you CAN'T use s5eprom. You MUST use Step5, prefered V 7.23. Don't forget to activate the internal prommer in Step5. Good luck

MRJH Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	SOLVED. The version 8 Simatic USB driver doesn't work with the S5 Eprom software. I installed version 2 of the driver and everything is working. S5 and S7 using external USB prommer
