Hello all:

We have an application with Simotion D435 PN. We have (among other things), a synchronysm between our customer encoder master (with electrical signals) and our slave axis, with a gearing. 

We read the encoder master signals by means the SMC30, which converts the pulses to a position with drive click. So we have a TO_External_Encoder and we can do all the synchro. 

Now, our customer wants simplify the system, and he wants to  eliminate the hardware connections with pulses and give us the setpoints of his encoder with PROFINET IRT. 

I have no experience with this, and I don't know how to do it with Simotion D. I don't want to migrate to S71500 - T yet, since I should develope the whole application. 

Can you guide me with this, please?
