Hello everyone,

I made a LOGO project with LSC software and an LWE website. When I connect my LOGO to my PC's ethernet port and go to the web page, it works just fine. However, when I connect the LOGO to my home router and go to the web page with my laptop using WiFi, or with my smartphone using WiFi or mobile internet (using portforwarding), the web page doesn't respond. I can open the LOGO user interface and visit the web page, but nothing responds. Not toggle buttons, not the number entry fields, not the hour/minute/second counter.

Anyone familiar with this problem? Solution?

It is possible to connect via a router, but it needs to be in the same network..
So static IP and port forwarding will probably not succeed.

I managed to get this to work by building my own VPN.
The two routers make a connection and are always connected.

The router at site connects to a router running VPN rules, then you connect to VPN with shared rules. (Mikrotik or Teltonika are good for this)

If you not going to learn how, pay someone who is a pro at this, to save years off your life!

BUT be warned:

A site of mine is water level control of canals.

The client was using the 'old' web server that looks like a TDE screen via the VPN which has worked for 4 years. VPN because it only had cellular comms and Static IP was not viable.

Last year, I upgraded the two LOGO units to 'custom web page' so that we could give the user more set points and an easier interface..

I programmed and tested for 2-3 weeks on the bench, and it all worked nicely.
Went to site and installed, and the web sites looked good and client was happy.

Then one day.....
The websites just kept getting stuck on "Loading"

Luckily, I also rewrote the screens to allow old school access. I always make a plan B..
But something is not right.

The site is 300km away, and LWE program refuses to see the controllers, even through the VPN.

I will maybe start a new thread for this.

My suggestion is to have a headless PC or similar with Windows and Siemens utilities running at the site for these activities.
Then you can remote desktop / Team Viewer / Anydesk to have proper access.
