Good Morning,

I have retrieved a project for one of our machines, I get the message 'Software packages missing' With the software being 'SIMOLINK' I have searched google and do not seem to be able to find too much information regarding software for this? 

Traditionally we have used our Siemens PG's opposed to our laptops to make changes to this machine in the fear that we could have problems.

SIMOLINK is fiber optical bus for Siemens drives Simovert/Simoreg with option board SLB and not the software package.

Try to look in the file 'Project\ApiLog\Step7Bas.ver' what software were used for editing project. You can open it with text editor.
