This is my first question on Siemens forum, and I am a beginner so please excuse me for lack of my knowledge and mistakes. Here is my question

I am working at a company and my senior has assign me task to find a laptop with a operating system which will support all the below mentioned Siemens software as I often use them for programming and designing. Please suggest me operating system which support all  or maximum of the mentioned software.

1) Simatic Manager V5.5 ( For s7 300 PLC)

2) Micro Win ( For s7 200 PLC)

3) Win CC flexible 2008 SP3(HMI)

4) Win CC explorer V7(SCADA)

5) Starter (Drive)

for all this SW you can use Windows 7.

For some of the products you need Servicpacks to run/install this Software on Windows 7 64bit.

you can check this with the compatibility tool.

I have Simatic Manager v5.5 (dont know what SP) and trying to install on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, but a error occurs which states " you can only install this software on windows XP, Windows server 2008, or windows 7 32 bits"

then you have only V5.5 without any SP.

order the trial cd's from siemens with the integrated SP's and the install will work
