As u r aware, there is a CF (Compact Flash Card) slot in Touch, v inserted a formatted CF Card then went into Control Panel of TP, Backup/Restore, Backup (to memory Card), then got the backup When v see contents of Backup in Laptop we find a folder by name "Flash" 2.85MB, (folders Simatic ) along with Regfile.bin Please confirm if this is valid backup and can v restore this , if needed, to restore TP 2. To take backup using "Prosave", we had taken out Profibus cable at DP/MPI slot and connected standard Simatic PC adapter but none of the LEDs on Adapter (Like MPI,POWER etc) got ON, please confiem if this adapter can not be used with TP because with same adapter, we could upload PLC from S7 300 CPU Regards, M. Rishikesh Hello, Some TP Doesnot Support MPI Adaptor diectly to upload the Program from Device.you can connect via With PG Profibus Connector on CPU provided CPU is connected with HMI on same bus. However if you have Field PG or CP5611 Card in your PC then it is possible with the use of MPI Cable. You can check for Ethernt option to uplaod the program from TP. By the way, which TP you are talking about??

MJRVSV Posts: 166 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir V r talking about TP270 TOUCH 10 CSTN, which has no ethernet port a) Pl confirm if backup takne by CF card is valid backup of TP and can it be restored if need be? b)Next day I tried with CP5512 Pcmcia Card, with adapter and MPI cable, connected this by taking out Profibus connector (slave with 2 cables) at TP270, still not getting connected c) I connected standard Simatic PC adapter over profibus cinnector on S7300, got connected and i am able to see all connected IM Modules with profibus address but unable to find TP on the profibus network of Hardware configuration although there is a profibus connector (with 2 cables ie as a slave) on TP270 and it is working fine d) Tried combination mentioned in point b) with S7 300 PLC, of another machine, it got connected ie adpater etc OK If possible , please reply pointwise, v r quite familiar with prosave and taken backup in OP177B etc without any such problem using ethernet Best Regards, M. MJRVSV Posts: 166 Rating: (1)	Dear Sirs We could fix this problem We have used CP5512 PCMCIA card with MPI cable, then located address of OP in OP itelf by clicking Control Panel - OP - Device , address was 1, Baud rate set at 187.5 kbps, same address set is Laptop then we could get backup of TP270 Thanks to every one who supported me Regards, M.
