Let's assume I have a tank placed on an open P&ID. I would like to create a free dynamic connector to the tank while P&ID is open. Does anyone have an idea how to do that?

I'm mainly interested about the function call for generating the connector. Positioning it etc I think I can manage.

Thanks Jiri for your reply. Unfortunately that only solves my problem partly. My main challenge is how to make this new connector visible on the drawing. I'm thinking of something like GC_GetIConnectedRO(RepItem) from GlobalCastings as a starting point.

I have not solve this exact as you are asking but sort of solved to have dynamic connectors by creating a standard table with the symbols and having the connectors specified as csv in value2.

For the object, i have an attribute that is using this table and placed it on a tab so that you can select variant. On this attribute there is a script that will first call a script to remove the existing connectors and then another script that will create the connectors specified in the table.

It would be possible to create a script that works on existing connectors and only adds/removes if there is a change on specific ones.

The attribute is also set up as a graphic attribute so that the symbol can easily be read for the object.
