recording simulation in simatic manager or TIA

i want to do a recording when i'm on line with PLC for a part of program , is this possible ?

 In TIA, you can use Traces. Simatic manager doesn't offer this functionality.

Consider buying ibaPDA-PLC-Xplorer and start wondering how you did your job before you had this invaluable tool (in my humble and arguably biased opinion anyhow).

Hello Mr. Frits. The product from your company that you are advertising: Can this product connect to a simulation as asked by the title of this topic?

If not - Do you perhaps have some suggestion for the topic starter? I am guessing he is looking for something for his S7-300 PLC project, which is in your scope of expertise (more than mine).

I was thinking of recording in a DB and analysis with a spreadsheet. Or simulating an HMI with some graph ability.

Yes it can and works equally well with classic S7-PLCSIM as well as TIA Portal PLCSIM via a so called ibaPDA-S7-Xplorer proxy tool that is part of the installation (which negates the need to resort to using tools like NetToPLCSIM).

Apart from troubleshooting and optimization tasks on site with real PLC's, I use it frequently for PLCSIM based software testing in the Office to verify and validate software functionality (and just in case case, it of course works with PLCSIM Advanced too).

As far as support for physical PLC's is concerned, the following are covered:

• Logo's
  
• S7-200's
• S7-300's
• S7-400's
• S7-1200's
• S7-1500's 
• S5's (via Ethernet to AS511 adapter)

For sure, there's other ways to skin this cat, but - as said - once you start using ibaPDA-S7-Xplorer you will not want to be without it anymore.
