Hello Ren; - As I know S7-300 and S7-400 PLCs (and racks), there is no confusion in your images 1of1 and 2of2. The text in 1of1 says they are about to show a S7-300 rail, followed by a S7-400 rack (with backplane)mand that is what is shown. The confusion may come because there is no seperate captions for the rail and the rack, but the document is quite accurate. - About the Hans Berger books, you will find here a link to the STL and SCL programming book I mentionned earlier: https://www.amazon.ca/Automating-STEP-7-STL-SCL/dp/3895783412 When looking for a title on Amazon, always check the section "People also searched for" which contains titles written by the same author, or books discussing similar subjects. - The issues you face for your Safety program probably come from the missing software package Distributed Safety, for S7-300 F-CPUs (under Step 7 v5.x). I assure you it is an important point to consider and can explain the problems you are having. Please read the Getting Started manual I proposed earlier, it is from Siemens, it is trustable and it is free. it will serve to explain the use of this software for Safety programs and Safety certificates and passwords. And yes, you will have to consider purchasing it, or asking for a trial version (if it is available) from your local Siemens rep. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
