create a confirmation window that pops up when you click the button to ask for permission to actually change the mode.

Hello guys,

I am working on a project in Wincc Scada. Let me explain my situation to you. I have a button in HMI for changing mode of operation. I have assigned a bit  tag to button. But I want to provide a confirmation window that pop ups when button is clicked to ask for permission to really change mode..

I hope my situation is cleared to you all. Waiting for any help from you all experts. Thanks

First of all which WInCC do you use? there are a few option at the moment for a WinCC SCADA system...

If you have WInCC V7/8/Professional you could use simply a messagebox with confimation buttons.

Its a simple and fast way. If you use a Touch Screen and the standard MsgBox does not work because of design and size then you would have to use an own WInCC workaround with Screen windows.

In WinCC V8 there is also a possibility to use popup Screens
