Hi everyone, Some Months ago, i had troubles connecting with an abb driver, and users in this forum was very helpfull, i hope this time be also it :) In my previous problem, i was able to send messages to my ABB slave , but i had a problem in the parametrizations of the HW Config : ABB ACS 400 manual sad that for modbus with no parity is 2 stop bits, but i only receive good messages with 1 stop bits in the Configuration :). But now, i'm triyng connecting with an Metron FD 4 Eledyn Diesel Engine Fire Controller, to obtain some data from him, but i have some trouble i will descrive in the pdf atached. I'm using my previous and funcional project from ACS 400 that i adapte from siemens example, to this Fire Pump Controler.I have downloaded it from siemens : SIMATIC ET 200S 1SI V2.5 incl. Service Pack 3 with the manual and the examples to communicate using modbus protocol. I am using this components: – TM-E15S24-01 terminal modules – ET 200S 1SI Modbus/USS serial interface modules - Metron FD 4 Eledyn Diesel Engine Fire Controller, (modbus slave - wich i want to obtain some data and turn on/off) -Using Rs 485 to communicate I have an CPU 315-2 DP and an Cp 343-1 lean and an et200s with modbus/uss protocol. I'm using the sample Siemens program zXX21_11_1SI_MODBUS. Greetings from Portugal, Jose AttachmentModbus Problem Controlador Metron.pdf (148 Downloads) |

Hello zeef first of all, very nice and detailed description that you created, well done I must say. As for your problem, one thing that stands out is that you state in your pdf " ... i'm using an USS interface , and the controller is Modbus RTU". Can you please clarify and check what you've actually configured in your S7 HWconfig. The thing with the 6ES7138-4DF11-0AB0 is that it can do all sorts of protocols and the same part number will exist numerous times in your HW catalogue (each nominating and representing a different protocol choice). Please make sure you select, drag in and configurethe"Modbus master" type 6ES7138-4DF11-0AB0 one. I hope this helps and pelase let us know what you find. |
