Hi all, 

I'm trying to get SoftComfort 8.4 to work correctly. I have been working with 8.3 on a MacBook with El Captian OS X 10.11 but the newest devices need 8.4. I changed to a Macbook with Mojave 10.14.6 and installed Amazon Corretto 11 prior to using my 8.1 CD to install 8.4 from the Siemens site. I keep having error popup when I try "file -> Properties" or "file -> message text settings" or "tools -> select hardware" for example. There are more actions that cause the popup, see attached pic. Anyone have any ideas?

Was something changed in the Java file during installation?

Where did you get the software from, directly from SIOS, from software you received or from third parties?

You also need full administrator rights for installation and use.

Also tell you, does this happen to you with any project you try to create?

 I do not think anything was changed in the Java file during the installation. 

The upgrade to 8.4 came from SIOS. 

I do have full rights.

It happens with any new or existing projects. The existing projects can be opened and loaded onto a new device using 8.4 but the error pops up when I try to select the hardware or set the clock on LSM. 

The error you have I would check or do this.

1. Reinstall in new directory version 8.4

2. Make sure the Java runtime version is 11 and from AWS Corretto

Running .java_home terminal you could know default java runtime that is used.
