Am working on a Step 7 200 project. However, when I pull in timers into my project they don't come with time factors (for instance 100ms, 10ms). How could I possibly get in these time factors? Please advise me.

According Timer number comes its resolution. Check in S7-200 manual. S7-200 System Manual

example : T32 resolution : 1ms ; if PT set to 10 ---> Q=1 after 10ms

             :T33: resulution: 10ms; if PT set to 10  ---> Q=1 after 100ms

What the chaps are trying to tell you
is that the resolution is fixed to the address of the timer.

You as programmer need to select the address that suits the resolution.
As soon as you select the address, the right resolution appears.

Can you access the HELP files in the software?
IMHO it is THE BEST help description of PLC softwares.
Under the search term "TON", you can find the list:



Also - with the later editions you get a tool tip to remind you:

It is important for you to notice that the TONR and TON/TOF
do not share the same ranges.

The S7-200 can also change to IEC programming mode.
But the fixed resolution still applies:

Note however the "100ms" in the left bottom corner of the block.
The delay time is set at 10 x 100ms = 1,000ms.
