COMPLING HARDWARE PROBLEM

Hi

I have a 315-2DPCPU and a TP177HMI operating a small HVAC system. My customer wants to connect this system to his existing profibus system through a DP/DP coupler. When i try to compile the system with the DP/DP coupler included it wont compile saying i require at least one slave on my network. Any ideas would be helpful.

I did not place any I/O in the DP/DP coupler i was trying to add the coupler in hardware configuration. I dragged a Profibus master from the CPU and added the TP177 HMI & then the coupler to the network, when i tried to save and compile i get the error. Cant compile due too no slave on network. I am not to sure what data my customer wants to exchange between the networks at present. Do i need to configure information exchange parameters before it will compile.
