Configuring OPC server for logo OBA8

Hello,

I'm trying to configure an OPC connection from a LOGO! OBA8 with my pc so i can use the data in a VB.net application i made.

I have the software : SIMATIC NET SOFTNET with TIA portal V13 and OPC communications possible.

My question is now, is there any manual or some help to configure this connection?
I have searched a lot on the forum an din the help but nothing i can really use to configure this..

Hi,

Try the following steps:

1. Create a Server connection in LOGO!
2. Start OPC-Server and check if you can find a LOGO! driver. If not use the S7-200 driver
3. Try to read I0.0 (this is I1 on LOGO!).

If this is working then you have direct access to DI, DQ, M and VM-Memory

Other data like date&time, Analog IN/Out/Flags have a different dataformat in LOGO! compared to Simatic. This kind of data can be mapped using the VM-Mapping Table in LOGO! to VM-Adress you then have access to.

For an AI:
AI --> analog Amplifier --> VM-Mapping Table --> VW xxx
