Do I need any other format, or the .CFP is enough to savee to the memory using an external prommer?

amos_matlombe163 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi KSN, Please assist with this. I have .CFP files of the program running on my Simadyn D PM4 processor. I would like to save them on a MS5 flash memory. Do I need any other format, or the .CFP is enough to savee to the memory using an external prommer? amos_matlombe163 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your prompt response. Actually I do have the .CMP file, in addition I have files in the following formats: .CFP, .GPN, .MPN, .ADR and .CMP To compile it I will need the STRUC L right? (I just have the struc L). Regards.

amos_matlombe163 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Alright, wil try. Actually in my system I have 4 processors, and wonder in which processor the .CMP file is normally is loaded? I have the files for all processors in one folder, including the .CMP file, and dont know now where to load this .CMP file. Any input? Very first time working whith Simadyn D.

This file is one for the whole project/rack. .cfp - compiled function packet file. There could be several .cfp-files for each CPU. .cmp and .cfp files are not loaded to the CPU's. If I'm not mistaken during compilation of project compiler create .br3-file (and may be also .mpn-file) for each CPU, that are then loaded with programmer.

Having the .cfp, .adr and .cmp files for all processors in the same folder, compiling it the software will actually create a file for each processor? Or in this case I have to group the .cfp and .adr files for each processor and compile separetly in oder to have a file for each processor? Is there any manual that can help me undesrtand this? amos_matlombe163 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear Mr KSN, I have been reading and praticing on Simadyn D, happens that I have actually the compiled files (.CFP and CMP, and others tha have been provided by siemens back then) but these were created useing struc L 424 version, however, now I have in hand Struc L 427 and this introduces a version mismatch. When I try to match the version it gives a lot of errors, being one of the errors relatd to functions that are no longer part of the library of the version that I have. I have the melcopy software installed, but havent tried to use it and I missing documentation about it. I have the idea that with melcopy you can copy the application within the EEPROM. My question is: after pushing it will I be able to save it to another memory straight from the melcopy software? Do you have any idea of someone having the struc 424, open to help saving some EEPROM's with the files that I have? Regards, Amos
