I am currently working on a project where I need to send data collected by aSiemens S7-1200 PLCdirectly toTelegrafandInfluxDBusingOPC UA.

My goal is to configure theS7-1200as an OPC UA server and allowTelegrafto fetch the data and send it toInfluxDB, without using intermediate solutions likeOPC UA EU Expert.

My question is: Is it possible to send data from the S7-1200 directly toTelegrafandInfluxDBvia OPC UA? If so, what specific steps or parameters need to be configured to establish this connection?

Hello widad

 On S7 side its straight forward, you can only use the S71200 as OPc UA Server (no client). you have to set up your server interface and if you can access with a test client, like UAExpert it will also work for other OPc UA Clients.

If I understand Telegraf is a Plugin for IfluxDB (LINK)to use it as OPc UA Client
