Hi, can you explain more about the certificates? During the installation of WinCC Unified, I created the new certificate but it doesn't appear in the certificate manager. I have the same problem simulating the runtime, even I have the newest version installed with same update. Thank you, Domagoj ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hello MarijanovicD you should first create a CA in the Unified Certificate Manager and then install the certificates (and export and install the CA) then do a restart of the Computer. Then open the Unified configuration and select the new Webserver certificate from your CA and run through the configurator. Then it should work: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109806850 Bye Murof |

Still fighting with this one... I made the certificate as instructed and it appears in the IIS. Made the Wincc Unified Configuration with existing certificate. Role to the User has only HMI Administrator rights. And still I get the Extended download screen when I try to simulate the project. Also I reinstalled the Tia v17, did the same process ,and still no luck. Thank you for your help. Domagoj |

Hello In v17 it was normal that the simulation does not open instantly. you had to use the download dialog to load the simulation RT of the local PC. So what happens if you click connect in the extended download dialog? you can also use your real IP of the ES Bye Murof |

Hi Murof, I tried Default: 127.0.0.1 PC IP: 192.168.1.10 Always Failed to establish connection. Is it normal that I can't change the PG/PC interface to PLCSIM? Thank you, Domagoj |

Hello MarijanovicD I tested it again in V17 and sorry I was wrong, if you start simulation you should get directly the preview loading dialog not the extended download dialog. If you so the loading with download and not with simulating button, then the project is loaded as Runtime and not as simulation to the Runtime Manager. what do you see if you open the SIMATIC Runtime Manager? Is there some kind of error message? do you see anything in the table? (the connection to PLC Sim you have to set in PGPC Interface setting (AccessPoint of the HMI connection -> PLCSim.TCPIP.1)) Its the same for Simulation or Runtime Bye Murof |

Hi Murof, this is really getting my nerves :) Just to note that I can simulate the PLC normally. I always press the Simulate button, not Download to device. The PG/PC is set to PLCSIM (not sure why is not written active next to it): In Runtime Manager nothing is written: Also, not sure why I don't have the option to select PLCSIM in the dropdown menu of the PG/PC interface when simulating the HMI. This is a simulation of PLC: I tried to change this TIA setting, but it should be like this (not PLCSIM) for the simulation to work properly. Thank you for your help! Domagoj |

The solution was to install WinCC Unified Runtime PC V19. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109820988/simatic-wincc-unified-pc-runtime-v19-simulation-trial?dti=0&lc=en-CY With the same certificates, there is no General error in the Simatic Runtime Manager, and Simulation goes directly to the load screen, not the extended download to the device screen.
