Not possible to install WinCC Unified locked by WinCCprofessional (not installed)

Hi, all I have some problems with the installation of WinCC Unified. When I try to install it, the software tells that it is not possible to install WinCC Unified because it is locked by another version of Simatic WinCC Professional, even if no version of WinCC Professional is installed. Can anyone tell me what to do in this case? Thanks |

Hi costea88, Was WinCC Professional previously installed on this PC? In this case, some artifacts may have been left in the registry when the software was removed. This is the reason why the V17 setup routine does not allow the installation of WinCC Unified in such a case. Kind regards |

Hi, previously I has a version of Professional installed, but for some time I had already uninstalled that version. In this case, how can I check the status of the register, and how i can fix this issue, can you give me some tips? |

Hello, I still have the same trouble, I can't install WinCC unified V19, I've remove Wincc pro V14 but It's not good, I've remove all I've find in the registers about WinCC Pro but I keep the Lock ! Help ! Thanks. |

Hi,
Manually cleaning the registry to complete the setup is a difficult task. And there are probably some good reasons for these restrictions, and even if you get the software installed, you may run into problems later. So I recommend that you do a clean install, which means formatting your hard disk, reinstalling Windows, and then running Setup. Kind regards |
