I have an issue at a customers site the CU305DP is suspected as being faulty as there is no encoder reading either at the CU through Starter or at the PLC over Profibus, it is null reading at both. The cables and plugs are all ok. The encoder has been replaced but issue is still the same.

I have a copy of the original Step 7 project with the hardware configuration and drive parameters, I can go online to the drives with it and check/alter parameters and download to the existing devices in the project. I can see no way to download the configuration of the exisiting project drive to a new/replacement unit. Accessible devices can see the new device by the Profibus address but I have to upload it into Starter as a new device.

Is there no way similar to TIA Profinet devices, where I can download a project configuration to a new/replacement device?

I can't see a way to select a newly found device in "Select Target Devices" and download an existing project item to the new device.
