Hi All

I need to solve the problem of the terminal bus plant bus network.  I have 2 redundant servers, an Engineering Station, and 6 no. of client. The server has 3 Network cards for Engineering station and a client 1 network card for each. I made two different networks as below.

1. Plant Network: - 1. PLC to ES2. ES to Server 3 Server to ES.
2. Terminal Bus: 1. Server to Client.

I am facing the problem of downloading the Server from ES Station. I am getting an error on ES StationRT station is not obtainable. In Simatic Shell if I selected Terminal bus on both servers then able to see all 6 clients but not the ES station. From the Server, I can Ping the ES station by name and address and vice versa. On the ES station in the Simatic shell, I am not able to see both servers. ES station is connected to the Server via the plant bus and in the Simatic shell of the server I have selected the terminal bus. If I change the Simatic shell network selection from Terminal bus to plant bus, then I can download the server but all clients are not able to access the server. For reference please find the attached system architecture and some setting pictures of the Server.

Please let me know if anything needs to change in System architecture or a project setting.

the networkcard for Terminalbus(Clients) and ES should be the same

In your configuration I would suggest 3 networkcards:

- Plant bus (PLCs)

- Terminal bus (ES, Clients other WinCC interactions)

- redundancy connection
