How 6 pcs PAC3200 connect to PLC through CP343-1 with Modbus TCP protocol?

anhtuan_ntc Posts: 54 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have 6 pcs PAC3200 Multi Power Meter connect to PLC S7 300 CPU 317-2DP with CP343-1. I want to collect data from all of PAC3200 to PLC and after thattransfer it to PC (where WinCC v6.2 have installed). I have OpenModbus TCP function block for this purpose but I don't know how to create a connection in NetPro exactly to connect it, How to call FBs in program to get data and where could I see data from PAC3200 in PLC (like e.x: U, I, f,...). Pls give me some advise to solve it, thanks in advance. TuanNA.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello TuanNA, to communicate with 6 PAC stations you need 6 connections in NETPRO, one for each PAC. All connection need the feature „active connection partner“ and remote port number = 502. For a detailled description have a look in the ModbusTCP manual section 3.4. In OB1 and OB100 you need 6 calls of FB MODBUS, CLIENT_SERVER = FALSE. You parameterize the interface of PAC to Modbus TCP – see PAC manual section 3.9.2. PAC3200 uses the Modbus register addresses from 1 to 838 (see section 3.9.3). So you have to set the initialisation parameters of FB MODBUS as follows: DB_1 : choose the DB number where the data from PAC should be stored START_1 = 1 END_1 = 838 Here an example for the runtime parameters to read current a, b and c from PAC: WRITE_READ = FALSE START_ADDRESS = 13 LENGTH = 6 You will find the values from DBB 24 to 35.
