Our hardware configuration is: “Deep” rack with “safety” bus in it. CPU315F-2DP (315-6FF01-0AB0) IM153-2 (153-2BA00-0XB0) with no memory card inserted Safety protector (195-7KF00-0XA0) I/O card SM326 DI24xDC24V (326-1BK00-0AB0) I/O card SM326 DO10xDC24V/2A (326-2BF01-0AB0) CPU is outside the safety bus and is connected to IM153 with PROFIBUS network. All other cards are in the “safety” bus. List of our STEP7 installed software is attached in CSV file. Our project is also attached. The problem is, that the I/O cards doesn't work in safety mode. When we set the CPU to start mode it starts and no error is indicated with error LEDs. Also the IM153 seems to starts ok – ON and ACT LEDs are on, no error LEDs are on. But the I/O cards does not work and red SF LEDs are on. It doesn't work if the I/O cards are in in safety mode (in standard mode it seems to be ok). The external 24 V DC power supply for the I/O is connected. The DIL switches at the bottoms of the cards are set to proper addresses. In module information in diagnostic buffer for both I/O cards we can see following errors: In safety mode: Event 1 of 3: Event ID 16# F980:8031 Loss of Communication External error, Incoming event Event 2 of 3: Event ID 16# F980:0201 Monitoring time for data message frame exceeded External error, Incoming event Event 3 of 3: Event ID 16# F580:8006 Module not Assigned Parameters Internal error, Incoming event In standard mode only one error occurs: Event 1 of 1: Event ID 16# F580:8006 Module not Assigned Parameters Internal error, Incoming event We tried to create the project along with “S7 Distributed Safety – Configuring and Programming” manual. Hi Lubos, I 'am afraid everything is wrong... [:o] You didn't configurate the Failsafe IO in the hardware, they standing still on standard... [:(] Please check what I have done on the "Parameters" TAB of the configuration of the F-IO-Blocks. I put them to Failsafe and compilethe HW, then you will see that there are two datablocks, here DB819 and DB820, those two datablocks represent the information for the F-DI with address 8 and F-DO with address 32. The Failsafe Output have to be switched in the failsafe program (FB1). Not in OB1!! [:blush:] I have inserted a Emergency stop in FB1 with two failsafe inputs and two failsafe outputs. Also I have implemented the reintegration for the reason that something wents wrong with a F-IO. When you load the HW and the SW from the "Edit Safety program"-menuthen the CPU must go in RUN, when not then there must be something wrong with the dipswitches on the underside of the F-IO (please check the dipswitch settings in the HW-config in the TAB "Parameters" --> "F-parameters").
