efansa01 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	hello there Is there a solution for the S7-1200 similar to the existing for the S7-200, that allows to remotely connect, using GSM/GPRS modem, to the PLC with the programming software and change the logic?. In this proyect we need not only to be able to send and receive SMS messages, but also to do maintenance in the PLC program if needed. If such a solution does not exist, I guess another possible solution would be to make a small intranet between the PLC and a routerGPRS/UMTS, stablish a VPN connection to the router, and then using the software to connecto to the PLC via the ethernet port. Is that possible? thanks for the help Santiago

I have checked the links you sent to me, but it seems they cover only the option to exchange sms and data, not the possibility to remotely connect online with the PLC and change the logic. The information about SMS is interesting thought :). Thanks again

Mr D Posts: 21 Rating: (4)	Hi, As the S7-1200 uses standard Ethernet connectivity, you can implement remote access via VPN (Virtual Private Network). You can find more info about this here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26662448 There is currently no specific Teleservice module available for the S7-1200. Hope this helps,
