Changing a TP170B

alexfizeau Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	I have an TP170B with CF card. The panel has the touch screen broken. As long as the TP170B has its CF card inserted in the slot, it means that the program configuration of the TP should be also on the CF card memory. Replacing with a another TP170B should be easy: I will take only yhe CF memory card from the old TP and put it in the new one. When I start the new TP, I think the TP will copy to its work memory the program and configuration from the CF card and it will work using that program taht was saved from the old TP. Do I need to make any other things in order to make that replacement ? Many thanks.

This is possible, but someone must have initiated it. See following faq: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19082123 chapter 7.3 Or See following link: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1838350 chapter 3.8.1 It's possible the CF-card is used for Recipes.
