Conection of an electric brake to a analog output

xthrill Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello I need to connect an electromagnetic brake (0-24VDC), to a logo, since the range of the analog output is 0-10VDC, how can i do it? I think i will need a amplifier or something like that, is that correct? Thanks

SPAINLOGO Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Estimated friend: The last year I had made an automation,using TwoSTROMAG ELECTROMAGNETIC CLUTCH model ERD-2,SIEMENS LOGO 12/24Rc, SIEMENS LOGO POWER 2,5A, two SIEMENS LOGO CONTACT, two 3Ac motor SIEMENS and a speed control SIEMENS SINAMICS G110 . The Stromag clutches (0-24V, 1 A) are controlated by twodigital (ON/OFF) outputs ofSIEMENS LOGO 12/24RC Q1, Q2. I think that your answer it is very interesting, but I do not know that the ELECTROMAGNETIC CLUTCHES that you want to use, are operating in the range of 0-24V ANALOG or simply ON/OFF operating using 0 or 24 V. If you can explain more detail I will can help you more.

In fact, (by the logic) the type of brake i have in mind, work in a range of 0-24vdc, because, when you increment the voltage the electromagnetic field increases too, and i think in a proporcional line. But i don't have any experience in this field, it is all in a logic way of think. Course i will release some experiences, but if anyone have any aplication like this, please say something. SPAINLOGO Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Estimated friend: Thanks for your answer, I have a lot of experience with proportional valves (using analog output 0-10V), if you want to use the analog output of SIEMENS LOGO you must use LOGO AM2 AQmodul with two Analog AQ output. Well, to select the interval 0-24V it is not psoible directly with one ouput of the module but you can use the two outputs of the module. You can see the posible conect of the SIEMENS LOGO AM 2 AQ in the manual of the LOGO oba5 at the page 43. If you want you can put the datasheet of the BRAKES on the forum by the format of Attachement. I will send to you and schematic in the next daysI have to see it in my archive.
