S7 1200 axis configuration

Farooq Viquar Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi I am using a S7 1200 1214C dc/dc/dc, with 2 numbers of 16DI/16DO module and 1 16DI module as extensions. I am using 3 axes in that, When I configured axis1 with limit switches and proxy in the main module, it worked OK, but in the second axis when I assign limit switch from the 2nd extension module, it shows error "inputDoesn’tgenerate alarm", please help. Is it necessary to assign all the limit switches to the main module?

farshid BG Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	u need to enable the raising and falling edge of the limit switch. in order to do this go to DEVICE MANAGMENT> DI14,DQ > under digital inputs find the related input which the limit switch is connected and check the box for both raising and falling edges. remember you have to assign two limit switches for positioning configuration. regards farshid BG
