Ti505 to S7 converter software

jameel Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	I've read in multiple posts that there is a conversion utility from Ti505 to S7 that is included in the Step7 software package. I have S7 professional 2010 installed and attachedisall my siemens installed software. i am unable to loacate this ti505 to S7 software utility.Can someone please tell me where i can find it? -Jameel Attachment installed_software.jpg (1491 Downloads)

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (118)	In Step 7 V5.4 it was in the standard installation. The application, TI 505 - S7 Converting TI files was found in SIMATIC > Step 7. According to the Readme file in Step 7 V 5.5 it is not installed on Windows 7 operating systems. I guess you have to load it on an old XP SP3 system or a VM with XP SP3. It has been my experience, the preference is to program the S7 yourself. The output of the converter is STL which most 505 users don't like. Regards, billwest

jameel Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your quick response. I will create a VM with XPSp3 and see what the output is. I've been using STL extensively the last couple of years and have also done a few S5 to S7 conversions, so i am hoping that experience will help. -Jameel
