for my all times, I've never used other than PG/PC interface for Interface and protocol connection depended to my requirements. It's true that PLCSim Adv is little bit more chalenging for cfg settings and Online connection establishment but all is logically set via expected interface and Online access point. Again pls, my all time settings are only inside PG/PC interface, for Step7 Manager or TIA. What is more strange to me is that in your screenshots is clear vissible that you have Online status with PLCSim so really it's not clear to me now what exactly connection type option you've selected and system wrongly interpretted. Really, I've never come to idea that you can have wrong Access point selected because of that Online status is vissible at your screenshots and then I've put away that required option to ask you. Also asd I said previously, from your post is clear that you had correct connection with PAC but this can be also mistake from your side because no data received are available from your pictures. This can point also to same situation like with Acuvim device. Simply I don't expect different functionality of Access Point in case of different external device access. Simply, if you did what I recommended with that outcomming packet test if all is there, you can easy come to your problem because maybe no packet has been sent to outside and then it is clear that Interface as PLC Sim isn't working (not set in PG/PC interface or wrongly configured as direct PLCSim Adv application interface). All is simple and logical.

To my experience, PLCSim Adv is good utility if you don't have real HW actually but I try everytime use real HW for tests, better say I've never used it after tests in 2018. Why yes?
