We have the CPU 314-6BH04-0AB0 installed in our of our machines and has been in operation for years without issue. However, in the last few days, it has been randomly stopping due to an SF fault. After power cycling, the system returns to normal functioning. Upon examining diagnostic events 8 and 9, I encountered a parameter assignment error. It indicated that slot 6 was either unoccupied or occupied by a placeholder, or a station had failed, or the switched I/O system had lost redundancy. The same error was present for slot 7 in event 9. There are two AO modules installed in slot 6 and 7, and there were no LED fault indications present on them. HW configuration is exactly the same as it is in the program. It's unusual that power cycling resolves the issue, leading me to suspect that the CPU might be the culprit. Moreover, these random stoppages are resulting in significant downtime and product wastage. Although hardware components have been replaced on occasion.
