The LOGO! 12/24 RC does have high speed inputs.
Look in the manual.
Max frekwentie is 5 kHz
Maximum voltage for a 0 is <5 Volt
Minimum voltage for a 1 > 8.5 V

Depending on what goes wrong think you should use
a pull up resistor, switch it between the + of your power and your digital input
or:
a pull-down resistor must be used
This link between the digital input and you - of the power
Resistance 1 to 5 kOhm
