Hi, It looks like the TCON and TSEND instructions are successful but then the TRCV message fails. Hardware: 1515F-2PN Diagnostics: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from Error 8602. I get about one step past this article where I can connect through the correct port to the database but the message is refused. |

Hi All, I had the same issue '80C5' and resolved it by setting the 'Listen All' property on the protocol tab of the TCP/IP properties to No. Once I did this I was able to connect. If the 'Listen All' property is set to Yes then only the IPAll settings are used on the IP address tab. See step 4 of the following guide for more info: Hope this helps |

This exception message says you're trying to connect to the same host (127.0.0.1), while you're stating that your server is running on a different host. This 127.0.0.1 represents a'loopback'. It allows the computer to communicate with itself vianetwork protocol. Dns.GetHostEntry(IPAddress.Loopback).HostName returns the host name of your machine. When you pass a host name toTcpClient, it will resolve it to one or more IP addresses usingDns.GetHostAddresses(hostName). This includes the public and local IP addresses of your machine (e.g. 192.168.12.10), but not 127.0.0.1 (loopback address). So your client is trying to connect to any of the non-loopback addresses of your machine, while your server is listening only on theloopback address. So, no connection can be established. The solution to this problem is that connect to thesame end pointyour server is listening on. |
