I have ET200S DP slave with 2AI i 2Wire Hs (6ES7 134-4GB50-0AB0) module in my s7-300 system. the module is now showing Fault. I need to replace the module.

This module is obsolate and now 6es7 134-4GB52-0AB0 is available.

i need to replace 6ES7 134-4GB50-0AB0 with 6ES7 134-4GB52-0AB0.

While i am selecting "Replace object" in the SIMATIC Manager (v5.5) hardware configuration, it gives an erro "There is no replacement of this object" (HW Config (1230:5053).

I don't want to change the program. i need to change the hardware only.

Please suggest me how, i can change the faulty module with new module.

The 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0 module has been discontinued for some time now, and replaced by the 6ES7134-4GB51-0AB0. Now it looks like there is a successor module as direct replacement 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0. But you software version cannot see it in the catalog. Possibly you might need Step 7 v5.6 to be able tp select it (I cannot fing a HSP to introduce it in an earlier version of Step 7).

The critical word in the producrt description is "successor module), which means you couls still configure a 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0 or even a 6ES7134-4GB51-0AB0 in your configuration, even if you have in reality a 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0 in your rack.

Look at this page of the 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0 manual, showing the differences in performance of this module with its predecessor 6ES7134-4GB51-0AB0.

You mean to say if i replace 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0 module with 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0 in the rack. It should work without change anything in the SIMATIC MANAGER software hardware configuration.

I just replaced 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0 with 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0 in the PLC rack and without change hardware configuration and program, BF LED is blinking on the IM151-1  (151-1AA02-0AB0) and CPU 315-2DP   and SF LED continuously glowing on the CPU 315-2DP.

Note:-  2AI module 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0  is listed in the catalog of V5.5 +SP3 installed in my computer.

I tried with manually delete 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0 (PIW 306-309) and add 6ES7134-4GB52-0AB0 (PIW306-309). But while hardware compilation, it gives an error

The "2AI I 2WIRE HS" module cannot be configured in this rack (slot 8 in rack with PROFIBUS address 4, DP master system_1)

The system data could not be recreated because the configuration is inconsistent.

If i change back to 6ES7134-4GB50-0AB0, it compiles ok.
