Hello, Thank you for the information. i would like to ask, in case to migrate to TIA without changing the Redundant S7315-2DP CPU, did the Software redundancy will work fine on this CPU using TIA ? I mean, if the customer want just to upgrade the Software from simatic to TIA Portal, is is ptossible to keep the s7315-2DP redundant CPU and just upgrade the Soft to TIA , did the redundancy will still work fine ? thank you

Hello Ahmed.tn; If you look at Unreality's answer in the following discussion, you will see he provides links showing TIA Portal cannot support Softwae Redundancy. If you upgrade the SWR Step 7 program in your S7-315-2DP to TIA Portal, you will lose the SWR portion of the project, it will not update. Simatic International's suggestion to work with a S7-1500R pair of CPUs is the only way to retain the redundancy that had been established originally for the S7-300 CPUs , but yoru client will have to accept new controllers, new I/O networks and probably new I/O modules, and strict reprogramming in the TIA Portal environment. Have a look at the S7-1500R/H system manual to have a better understanding of CPU redundancy under TIA Portal: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109754833 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
