Help me about start simulation with CPU S7 1200

Aha you mean better is just to go for straight runtime ? Well if its not RT, but HMI I always use simulator

Hello IBN-Service, I have worked in this similar setup with TP 1500 Basic and it was working fine without any issue.

Only its slow operation kills me IMO, TIA Portal is a benchmark platform in Industrial Automation which will live for many years to come. Right now it may not have thesmooth / troublefree operation like the classic world, but over a period it should get stronger. I like this TIA Portal very much (a next gen platform, a dream come true for many ppl in this field)

Issue of Simulation: Today I make a test with 1200 CPU and I found out the basic difference: WinCCflex2008: "Simulation" means NO connection to real PLC or PLCSIM, butan additional "Tagsimulator" to manipulate values. WinCCTIA: "Simulation" means a panel runs with Runtime on PC BUT: it will also communicate to a connected PLC and do NOT use a tagsimulator. That is the reason for our misunderstanding. TIA can do "Simulation" of panels with conncection to PLC, WinCCflex2008 can do "Runtime" of panels with connection to PLC and also "Simulation" if not connected to PLC.

Hello IBN-Service, In WinCC v11 if we need to do the simulation with Tag Simulator, then we need to choose it from the Menu (Menu command "Online> Simulation> Start\|With tag simulator"), whereas in WinCC Flexible there is a icon for that also. That's the difference i feel. The options are same in both WinCC Flexible and WinCC v11. Only the interface has changed a little bit. More info - Simulating a project (WinCC v11)
