WinCC Print file name format

rit03 Silver Member Joined: 6/13/2006 Last visit: 2/11/2023 Posts: 341 Rating: (24)	Hi I am using WinCC V6.0 in one of my project and I want to print report into file but the default format of printfile name is PRT_OUT\abc_YYYYMMDDhhmmssmmm\. . The time stamp is somewhat is not easily understood therefore I would like to get a print file name is like this PRT_OUT\abc_YYYY_MM_DD_hh_mm_ss. No need to print millisecond .Is it possible? DimiCamp Posts: 168 Rating: (49)	It is possible to generate this name in C script and save a "abc_YYYY_MM_DD_hh_mm_ss.Txt" file. But if you're using WinCC report designer I don't know if it's possible. Let us know (my preciousss) if the 1st case fits to you... Best regards, Dimitri.

Salma Gold Member Joined: 9/27/2005 Last visit: 11/27/2007 Posts: 1398 Rating: (151)	Unfortunately I don't think you can do this. My only suggestion would be to write a script that copies the report file and pastes to another directory, and also renames the copied file to remove the milliseconds.

You can do it in both so which is entirely up to you [:D] Using C - http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/14373387 Using VBS - http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/ezine/ezine36.htm (The WinCC manual contains information about the FileSystemObject) Hopefully this is enough to get you started. But I have just one query , how can I change the time stamp in file name from its default format YYYYMMDDhhmmssmmm to YYYY_MM_DD_hh_mm_ss without any manual interference and with the help of through the c-script. Just did a quick test and put together the following script. It's not perfect and there may be a tidier way but it should be enough to get you started along the right path. [code] '\|\| "string_tag" contains the name of the file '\|\| my report simply has the name "report" '\|\| e.g. report_20060630010101001 '\|\| you will need to change the offsets in the Mid functions to '\|\| reflect your report name Dim file_name, new_file_name Dim file_title, file_year, file_month, file_day, file_hour, file_minute, file_second file_name = HMIRuntime.Tags("string_tag").Read file_title = Mid(file_name, 1, 6) file_year = Mid(file_name, 8, 4) file_month = Mid(file_name, 12, 2) file_day = Mid(file_name, 14, 2) file_hour = Mid(file_name, 16, 2) file_minute = Mid(file_name, 18, 2) file_second = Mid(file_name, 20, 2) new_file_name = file_title & "_" & file_year & "_" & file_month & "_" & file_day & "_" & file_hour & "_" & file_minute & "_" & file_second MsgBox new_file_name [/code]
