Hello everyone,

I have an issue with Modbus TCP communication and I would appreciate any suggestions.

I use TIA Portal v16, S7-1500 and invertek Optidrive E3 (OPT-3-MTPEG-IN)

The inverter is already successfully connected to a SCADA system via Modbus TCP.
SCADA reads data directly from the drive (without PLC in between) and everything works fine.

Now I want to read the same data independently from the drive using a Siemens S7-1500 PLC.

After configuring the MB_CLIENT block in TIA Portal no data is read from the inverter.
The STATUS output of MB_CLIENT cyclically shows: 16#7004, 16#7005, 16#7006 and sometines an error 16#8381.
7004 - Connection established and monitored. No job processing active.
7005 - Data is being sent. (i don't know why. I want read only and use MB_MODE  =  0)
7006 - Data is being received.
8381 - Function code is not supported (Remote error - code: 01)

Additionally, when I try to connect to the inverter using ModScan, I receive the message:

Illegal Function (0x01)

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
