WinCC Command and Status interface

RamonT Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Hello, For my project I am looking for a way to start and stop WinCC using an external application. Starting would not be that big of a problem, but how can WinCC be stopped in a nice and clean way? Does WinCC have a command interface with which it is possible to say for instance ">WinCC -shutdown" ? Also, is there an easy way to get an overal status of a running WinCC application. My customer wants for each application (WinCC and others) its current state. This state must be one of the following: - Stopped; - Starting (Initialising); - Aborting; - Started (Operational); - Stopping; - Warning; - Error; Do I need to write my own scripts for this or is there already something available. A problem here might be the "Starting" state. How do you know that your application is currently being started? All help will be appreciated, Ramon

there is a nice, little WinCC addon for your purposes: "WinCC shut down"

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (171)	Hi, this VBS script is terminating "brutally" the WinCC Process, like ending WinCC RT in the Windows Task Manager the Addon is sending a "request for shutting down" to WinCC => WinCC has enough time for writing its data into the database - before shutting down Regards, Nemo
