simo drive triping with fault 608 Speed controller output limited

moseschaiko Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	Hi iam new in this forum would like some help I Have simo drive LT-MODUL INT ,50A IP 6SN1123-1AA00-0CA1 for a cnc machine , it has been triping with fault 608 Speed controller output limited i removed the module opened it and found that the surge arrestor connected in parallel with the DC link terminal flashed I removed the surge arrestor but dont have spare at the time and the machine needs to run Can l fix back the module without the surge arrestor for the time being till i get the spare

Rejjal Advanced Member Joined: 7/5/2009 Last visit: 3/25/2025 Posts: 77 Rating: (9)	Hi I encountered same problem it was from power board I've contacted with our local Siemens they said that this model (simodrive 611) declined and all parts not available anymore, finally I success to repair damaged board , modules was OK Problem was from one of power board IC, photo attached. Make sure that no real overcurrent or block on the motor 2. Swap power module 3. If fault disappeared repair damaged power module Good luck Rejjal Attachment Power module board .jpg (690 Downloads)
