Is the MODBUS-TCP communication of the CP443-1 module available in TIA PORTAL?

TJKIM81 Member Joined: 12/8/2022 Last visit: 3/7/2025 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I plan to use the CP443-1 module for modbus-tcp client communication. The installed program is TIA PORTAL v17. I have two questions. First, is it necessary to install SIMATIC Modbus/TCP CP SW to use the modbus-tcp function? Because this SW is said to operate in step7 v5.5. But I want to use only TIA PORTAL. Second, do I need to purchase a license to use the MODBUS-TCP function? I understand that there is no license fee for the S7-1500, but I would like to know if CP443-1 is absolutely necessary.
