V20 CHANGE COMMAND SOURCE

i want to change the Selection of command source of V20 drive from terminal to modbus with digital inputs.

who can help?

You could try this, using two Command Data Sets, switching between the two using a digital input:

P809(0) = 0, select to copy CDS0 for transfer to CDS1.

P809(1) = 1, destination for copy of CDS0.

P809(2) = 1, start the copy of data from CDS0 to CDS1.

If you have a working configuration in CDS0, the above operation will replicate all that configuration into CDS1.

Now with two, identical CDS (Command Data Sets), you can switch between these data sets using a digital input; e.g. set P0704(0) = 810; DI4 is now connected to P0810, make this DI high will cause the drive too use CDS1.

Check this is working by looking at r0051 Active inverter data sets, this should change with DI4.

Now could be the time to check that the drive still works as required?

Next,P0719(1), will be set to 0, change this to 40, and the drive will look for command and setpoint from USS on RS232, for Modbus.

Now if this works, DI4 will switch between CDS0 for the normal control, to Modbus on RS 232, using CDS1. (If you have Modbus on RS 485 make P0710 = 50).

Note:

CDS = Command Data Set, there are qty 3 CDS in this drive all indicated by number in () after the parameter set.

I also, do not have a V20 Device to test this with; this is prepared working from a paper manual which I believe is somewhere up to date.

I still want to read the PID feedback from USS because I have multiple v20 inverters which work with each other as booster Pump, I receive single pressure transducer signal at S7-1200 analogue input  and it should write it in PID feedback of inverters .

Can you help me about this problem?

Hi regurding to your kind attention on mentiond post above, we've done what you recommended but some thing remaind:

1- we couldent set P0704(0) to 810 . (its from 0 to 33 and nothing els except 99).

2-we couldent find P0719(1) . we only have P0717 and then P0720.

by using index 0 and 1 you can change command data set

for example in p700 (0)= 2 terminal 

                        p700(1) = 5 (mbus /uss)

selection of frequency p1000(0) =2 analog setpoint 

                                     p1000(1) = 5 mbus/uss

                                     p810=722.0,722.1,722.2,722.3(701 to 704 should be 99 for bico enable)

these you can change  giving 24v to digital inputs from plc or from selector switch as you like.
