Logo8 modbus device needed

AutoGen_3456655 Joined: 5/10/2023 Last visit: 5/23/2023 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi, i've a Logo8 24v basic unit 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA8 FS02 from 2015 I want to use modbus so i need a new basic unit with at least FS04 But i also have a 16DM expansion module 6ED1055-1NB10-0BA2 FS02 from 2015 Do i need to recplace this expansion module also to have modus fully working ?? Or is the basic(main) unit the only module i have to replace ??

The current LOGO! 6ED1052-1MD08-0BA1 is a 0BA8 LOGO! of the 4th generation, called LOGO! 8.3. By programming use must select LOGO! 8.3 in the hardware selection. I know that the new and current 6ED1052-1MD08-OBA1 is a 0BA8 LOGO! of the 4th generation is and need to be programmed by selecting LOGO! 8.3 in the hardware selection. I just want to know if my old DM16R expansion module from 2015 (6ED1055-1NB10-0BA2 FS02) will work with the new and current 6ED1052-1MD08-OBA1 LOGO! Is it fully compatible and will it work when i use Modbus ?

The expansion module works with the current LOGO! 8.3. But what has the expansion module with Modbus to do?

I tought i needed also a new expansion module. I now understand i don't need a new expansion module and keep my old one. Thanks, for the information.

The expansion module communicates with the base module. A Modbus device can therefore access the status of the digital inputs via the base module.

AutoGen_3456655 Joined: 5/10/2023 Last visit: 5/23/2023 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Yes trough the base module, but is read that modbus was available for the LOGO! as of FS04 and because my expansion module is also a FS02 (hardware) i wasn't sure if it would be compatible. Do the expansion modules also have other hardware versions like FS03, FS04 ... FS06 or just the base module ?

The FS statuses refer to the respective, own series. And again: All expansion modules whose order numbers end with 0BA2 are compatible with all LOGO! 0BA8 basic modules, no matter which FS version.
