invalid com port in drive monitor.

 I tried usb/serial cable too, but it doesn’t work.

I connect mpi on front of master vc drive 

And set p53=6

Hi, can I ask a silly question, where have you plugged the 9-pin MPI/Profibus cable into on the Masterdrive?

Why not use/buy a USB-serial adaptor, probably the cheapest method on the market to connect to these drives?

 Buy a USB--> RS232 (COM) coverter, after it working (some windows version need drive some  is Plug' N' Play) find COM number in your laptop system management under USB

see my picture, make cable, "unit side" connecting to X300 another side connect to RS232 after converter, start Drive monitor -->add a new project or station, try to make communication

I dont have com port in my laptop, i am trying to connect simovert vc with usb/mpi adapter but drive monitor keep saying invalid com or port in use. please tell how i can connect cuvc with my laptop for parameters?

you need select COM number you find in my last mentioned ,such as COM4

 i bought rs232/usb converter. now its detecting the device but canot bring it online.

What do you mean "detecting the device" --what is device? do you use Drive Monitor before? and you made right RS232 cable and connect to good interface? download the manual, read  by yourself please, see manual cover page attach.
