The Sinumerik 840D control system is freely configurable between milling and turning applications, Although its hardware might not be. Machine control panels are supplied in either milling or turning versions. Generally speaking, cycle support is installed for both types. But if you are using our interacvtive programming package "Shopmill" or "Shopturn" these need to be commisioned seperatley.

Again, i suggest you contact your local Siemens sales support office for further assistance.
