EIB

First thing about EIB is that it´s a bus protocol intended to be used in domotic apps, and needs a special software to configure the elements that is sold by KNX. The license costed me around 900EUR, and the thing is that they want you to make a trainning course to be registered to work as a EIB installer.

The system works very similar to ASI in terms of wiring,because there is a special power supply and the supply and data goes through two wires.

Then you have the ETS software in were you can configure all the slaves and the control relationship between them. For example: slave 1 is a switch to dim the lights; and slave 10 is the lights dimmer, so you have to establish a link between the signal to turn on on salve 1 and the order to turn on on salve 10.

This is not really plc programming but configuration of devices, don´t forget that it´s aimed to be installed and comissioned by electricians.
